My name is Valerie; I am an Army Veteran turned health coach! I am a Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS) from the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM). I have a Masters in Human Resource Management, and a Bachelors in Business Management.
My husband and I started "The Wright Xperience LLC" in 2011 after his retirement from the United State Army. I have hosted several successful fitness challenges over the years. I credit my success in this area to my ability to relate with my clients when discussing their struggles- the struggles of weight loss, the struggles of finding what works "best", the struggles of hormonal issues- all of which are factors that can affect your success.
I started juicing in 2015. Back then; I was suffering from severe anemia. My anemia was so bad in fact that my doctors wanted to give me an IV of iron at the hospital 3 times a week. Distraught by this; I researched other ways to improve my iron levels without the use of medication. This is what initially brought me to juicing. Not only did drinking specific fruits and MOSTLY dark leafy vegetables improve my iron levels; the doctors told me there was no need to even take an iron supplement. My results came from juicing!
In early 2017, I was diagnosed with pre hypertension. Again, this is a serious issue, and again my doctors wanted to put me on hypertension medication. Not wanting to start this medication; I did my own research for natural ways to lower blood pressure. Once again I was lead back to juicing. My blood pressure readings went from 140/110 to 117/80 in a matter of 3 months!
The point of these stories is to tell you that I KNOW first hand the healing power of juicing!
While I do not subscribe to any particular lifestyle- i.e. vegan, vegetarian, paleo, keto (well some keto ), my message is to always ADD fresh fruits and vegetables –juicing, steaming, roasted, raw- to your daily lifestyle. The reason I do not subscribe to one particular WAY OF EATING (WOE) is because being healthy is NOT a one size fits all type of thing, and what MAY work for me, may not work for you and vice versa. NEVERTHELESS, whatever you choose; juicing is a great way to start off on a clean slate.
